What is cognitive dynamic assessment?
Feuerstein’s cognitive dynamic assessment, called the LPAD (learning propsensity assessment device), is a test battery comprised of a series of activities designed to determine how an individual thinks. It works by allowing the assessor to observe which types of learning the examinee(s) best responds to, and how much observed learning is retained with each new and more challenging task. In scoring the exam, the assessors are presented with a clear picture of how the examinee thinks and learns, and the most effective way to tap into their latent learning potential.
